Volunteers use their own cars and GPS to follow a standard route in the State College School District and deliver meals to clients’ doors. Volunteers may bring family or friends to help with delivery. We do not require volunteers to enter clients’ homes, but some apartment building entry is included. We offer this position from approximately 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM on Monday through Friday. Volunteers can sign up for a regular schedule to deliver weekly on Monday through Friday or substitute on an as-needed basis, according to their schedules, on any weekday. There is no dress code for this position. Volunteers must complete a criminal background check and child abuse clearance and possess a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance before their start date.
