PAWS provides all that you need to help these animals. You do not need professional experience to foster - just a loving heart, some patience, basic knowledge, good observation skills, and a desire to help. Most foster animals are adopted within 6 months or so, so fostering is not a long-term commitment. Sure, it’s tough when your foster is adopted but it is also rewarding knowing that you helped the animal to become acclimated to humans, to know what love feels like, and to experience good care. Giving a bit of your heart and some of your time to help an animal have a better life is a very rewarding form of volunteering. Some transportation is required to bring your foster to meet and greet events.
