More opportunities with Centre County PAWS

Welcome all visitors and volunteers to PAWS, answer questions and phone calls, accept donations from visitors and help with administrative tasks as needed.

Front Desk volunteers are the face and voice of PAWS. Front Desk duties include meeting and greeting visitors to PAWS, mastering knowledge of PAWS policies and procedures, answering phones, taking dog / cat surrender information, and collaborating with volunteers from the cat and dog wings. Best of all you get to work alongside amazing PAWS cats and dogs!

The minimum commitment expectation for volunteers is approximately 30 hours per year (1 shift per month on average). In cases where courses are full, we prioritize scheduling volunteers who can commit to at least weekly volunteer shifts. Weekly (regular) volunteers get the most out of their volunteering and tend to form close relationships with the animals in our care and the other volunteers.
