Training class coming up in January 2026! See below for details on joining our team.

Learn skills for helping others!

Centre Safe’s Counselors/Advocates are the heart of our support system, providing critical services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking across Centre County.

Each year, our dedicated volunteers answer over 2,000 hotline calls, respond to 50+ hospital visits, and support nearly 150 adults and children seeking refuge at the Sylvia Stein Shelter.

Our Counselors/Advocates are essential to the life-saving work we do, and we’re inviting you to join them.

After training, most volunteers take on overnight or weekend hotline shifts remotely, with additional in-person opportunities available.

Your time and compassion could make all the difference for someone in need.
