I have been learning quite a bit as I study for the exam to become a Certified Volunteer Administrator (c.f., https://cvacert.org/).

The book that I am reading to help prepare for this exam is Volunteer Administration: Professional Practice, 4th Edition.

One of the topics that came up in our study group was what to call leaders of volunteers.

If we can agree on a title for leaders of volunteers, then the ability to professionalize the knowledge needed to successfully lead volunteers and understand the best practices of volunteer management is made easier because we can clarify roles and duties for each of those roles.
