We are looking for:

· Willingness to complete Family Service Worker credentialing within 18 months of hire

· Experience working with both children and adults.

· Knowledge of community resources.

· Excellent communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Basic computer skills and familiarity with Head Start regulations preferred.

· Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate

· Ability to reach over head.

· Lift and carry objects over thirty (30) pounds.

· Bend to reach objects from the floor.

· Stand for extended period of time with reasonable breaks.

· Operate office machines.

· Sit for extended period of time with reasonable breaks.

· Vision and hearing within normal limits.

Education

High school diploma or GED equivalency

Experience Level

Experience working with both children and adults

Responsibilities

· Provide coverage across Matternville area (travel required; mileage/time reimbursed per policy)

· Work 40 hours/week for 40 weeks/year

· Assist families in their home with goal planning and completion of program-required paperwork

· Provide monthly contacts to families via home visits, phone calls, and emails

· Identify family needs and resources, and assist in setting and working on goals

· Foster strong communication between families and teachers

· Promote family self-sufficiency and participation in parent meetings and activities.

· Support parents in their role as their child’s first teacher, offering guidance and practical suggestions.

· Maintain accurate records of services provided and comply with all required documentation standards.

· Attend trainings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
