Centre Region Parks and Recreation (CRPR), located in State College, PA, is an agency of the Centre Region Council of Governments (COG) and was established in 1966 to provide recreation programs and maintenance services to five Centre Region municipalities; the Borough of State College, College, Ferguson, Harris, and Patton Townships. Each contributes shared funding and support of regional year-round recreation programming and municipal park and recreation facility operations. Halfmoon Township does not currently participate in CRPR financially (since 1982).
The Centre Region Parks System currently includes 56 regional facilities and parks with 836 acres maintained by the Centre Region Parks and Recreation Agency. Our mission is to inspire the Centre Region to learn, play, protect, and connect by creating diverse programs and experiences for all ages, backgrounds, and abilities in sustainable natural spaces and places.
