Parenting is a two-person job and children need the unique contributions that both parents give to have the best chance to live productive and fulfilling lives. Unless there are genuine safety concerns mothers and fathers should always be considered equal partners and the primary support for one another in raising their children.
For this reason, the Dads’ Resource Center promotes equity in parenting to benefit the well-being and healthy development of children by supporting and advocating for marginalized fathers struggling to be in the lives of children due to barriers and biases in the family court, county and human services systems.
