More opportunities with Wildlife Leadership Academy

We are still looking for one more adult mentor for our Brook Trout-Focused "Brookies" Summer Field School focused on brook trout conservation.

The Wildlife Leadership Academy’s Brookies summer field school is an immersive, 5-day residential program that takes place July 7–12, 2025 at Krislund Camp and Conference Center in Madisonburg, PA.

Adult mentors volunteer to guide and support youth participants (ages 14–17) as they engage in hands-on conservation learning. Mentors are part of a small team that includes 5–6 youth and a returning youth mentor (a student alumnus of the program).

No prior experience is required—adult mentors learn alongside students and play a key role in shaping their experience.

What’s Provided:

  • All materials, food, and housing for the week

  • Forty “Act 48” credit hours and/or 3 graduate-level college credits through Cedar Crest College (tuition required for college credit)
