The Board is the governing body of the Chapter, responsible for ensuring that all Chapter activities are conducted in accordance with AFSP Bylaws, policies and Chapter Operating Procedures.

Responsibilities
• Attend meetings of the Board of Directors
• Review and approve the Chapter’s Annual Plan and Budget
• Serve on at least one Chapter Committee
• Elect a slate of Officers and Board Members and fill vacancies as needed
• Help recruit diverse volunteer leaders that best represent the communities in the chapter’s service area
• Approve appointment of Committee Chairpersons
• Participate in AFSP fundraising activities
• Represent AFSP’s positions and policies
• Provide personal and professional expertise to the Chapter

Term of Service
Each Board Member shall serve a three-year term of office.
