The Big Brothers Big Sisters program creates and supports one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

Consider being a BIG in 1 of 2 ways:

  1. Community-based program

    • 12-month minimum commitment

    • One hour per week

    • The volunteer (Big) takes the mentee (Little) out to do a free/low-cost activity in the community.

    • The match is supported by professionally trained staff.

  2. Site-based program

    • One school year commitment (no summers)

    • 2 hours per week

    • The volunteer (Big) meets the mentee (Little) at a local school.

    • The match is supported by professionally trained staff.

Since every potential volunteer has to start with attending a volunteer information session, please sign up to attend an information session here: https://ccysb.com/bbbs-orientation-sign-up/

This is a no-pressure session to learn about the program to see if being a BIG is a good fit.

Typically, 4 info sessions are held per month - 3 on Zoom and 1 at the YSB office.

This is a terrific way to have fun while making a HUGE difference in a child’s life!

We’d LOVE TO HAVE YOU as a BIG!
