Responsibilities:
The Walk Chair provides leadership and guidance to all committee and sub-committee members, utilizing the walk planning manual for guidance.
The Walk Chair (alongside the volunteer coordinator, and staff partner) will recruit and onboard new members to the walk committee to grow a network of support for the assigned event.
The Walk Chair will oversee all “event day” activities, including set up and tear down.
The Out of the Darkness Walk chair plays a pivotal role in the success of our signature fundraising events.
Funds raised by the Out of the Darkness events have a direct impact on the chapter’s ability to provide programming and resources to our chapter service areas, supporting AFSP’s mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.
