More opportunities with Centre County 4-H Robotics
High school students in Centre County 4-H Robotics participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition, a worldwide STEM competition where teams build complex, custom robots to accomplish an annual challenge. Students in this program are challenged to learn advanced, real-world technologies in design, engineering, and programming, including CAD/CAM, Java, AI/ML, computer vision, and more. They also learn tremendous professional skills like marketing, leadership, teamwork, project management, and communications.
Volunteer mentors with our FRC team commit 3-12 hours per week during the build season, January through March, and additional time as available in the offseason. We value mentors with technical skills, including engineering and programming, but also those with professional skills to help the team with project management, communications, outreach, leadership, and research.
