We are recruiting student and adult volunteers to lead our 6th-9th grade FIRST Tech Challenge team!

The Centre County 4-H Robotics Middle School program brings kids from 6th to 9th grade together to build and program complex robots to compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge, a worldwide STEM competition. Students work together in teams to design, manufacture, build, program, and drive custom robots using real-world technologies like CAD/CAM and Java, then travel to regional and state-wide competitions to show off their hard work.

Volunteer mentors with our FIRST Tech Challenge team commit about 5 hours per week during the build season, August through February. We value mentors with technical skills, including engineering and programming, but also those with professional skills to help the team with project management, communications, leadership, and research.
