More opportunities with Taproot Kitchen

Help us work alongside an inclusive team to grow, harvest, prepare, and sell delicious seasonal foods.

Do you have a passion for good local food, gardening, or inclusion? If yes, work with us as we engage, employ, and empower individuals with disabilities in the whole farm-to-table enterprise.

We have several opportunities:

“In the garden” — Starting ASAP! Get your hands in the dirt to help us start the growing season and maintain our many raised beds.

“In the kitchen” — During May 2023, we’ll start back in the kitchen processing locally sourced veggies and creating seasonally inspired dishes.  Anyone with basic kitchen skills is welcome! Volunteers will be trained and will work with professional staff alongside individuals with disabilities. Shifts are usually 4-6 hours, 2x/week.

“In the market” — We’ll need help at our weekly farmers market sales, and occasional catering and other community events. Tasks might involve loading and lifting, or could simply be helping to man the stand. Shifts range from 3-6 hours. We’ll be at the market almost every Saturday, both in person and online.
