Centre County Historical Society Volunteer Opportunities

The Historical Society offers several ways to find your niche as a volunteer, from one-time projects to ongoing volunteer roles.

Below are examples of how you can get involved with CCHS as a volunteer or intern and fulfill your individual interests.

Volunteers will receive appropriate guidance and training.

  • Archive projects such as indexing and helping process collections as needed

  • Giving tours or greeting visitors as a Docent or Greeter

  • Gardening + Weeding

  • Internships

  • Special Events such as the Plant Celebration in May, or the Stocking Stuffer Magical Holiday Market in December
