The Membership Committee chairperson works virtually from home and is responsible for: (a) developing and deploying activities to increase membership; (b) welcoming new members; and (c) maintaining electronic membership records.

Other duties include:

· Identify opportunities for recruiting new members of the organization

· Recruit members to volunteer to serve on the Membership Committee

· Organize teams of volunteers to represent GC at community events for recruitment purposes

· Develop recruitment materials for promotional purposes

· Develop orientation materials for new members

· Develop ways to recognize and honor members and their contributions to GC’s mission

· Monitor the contacts and member lists in the membership website Wild Apricot and encourage members to maintain an active status; send messages to those whose membership has lapsed encouraging them to renew

· Participate in the leadership of the organization by attending monthly Executive Committee meetings as a voting member
