The chapter volunteer coordinator connects volunteer applicants with our mission-driven work

The chapter volunteer coordinator (VC) connects volunteer applicants with our mission-driven work through the local chapter based on the applicants’ areas of interest, to best utilize the applicant’s available time and talents.

The VC works closely with the assigned field staff and local board to manage, develop, and grow the volunteer capacity of their chapter.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older

• Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Must be an outgoing personality that enjoys engaging with people

• Must have availability to maintain long-term communications with applicants, with the ability to assign roles and keep volunteers on track/engaged at events as needed

• Must be comfortable with public speaking in order to host onboarding presentations for new volunteers

• Must be willing to work collaboratively with local AFSP field staff and chapter leadership
