Can you spare an hour or two each week to make a meaningful impact in the life of a child in Centre County?

No kid experience necessary as long as you have the desire and ability to build a friendship with a child built on trust and acceptance.

Program Options:

Community-Based:

-pairs volunteers 18+ with children (5 to 16 years of age) to make a match

-volunteers must have a valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle

-one-year minimum commitment required

-the volunteer Big picks up their Little from their home and takes them to do something free or low cost in the community 2-4 times a month

-matches are supported by a BBBS Case Manager

School-Based:

-we have after school programs at two State College Area School District elementary schools. One meets on Mondays from 3-5 PM and one meets on Tuesdays from 3-5 PM.

-one school-year minimum commitment required

-matches meet weekly throughout the school year

-a BBBS Case Manager is always on site to support the matches
